Nature-loving women are invited to join the Phoebes on our next walk - Saturday, March 9th at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. The Wakodahatchee boardwalk is a marvel for life-long birders and newbies alike during spring nesting season. Watch great egrets flare their lacy plumes, great blue heron chicks jostle for fish, wood storks clash beaks, and green herons quietly slip behind a veil of vegetation into their nests, all just a few feet from the walkway.

  • WHAT: Bird Walk for female nature buffs of any experience level.

  • WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 2019, 7-10 AM

  • WHERE: Wakodahatchee Wetlands, 13026 Jog Rd, Delray Beach, FL 33484. Meet at the entrance to the boardwalk in the northern parking area.

  • What to Pack: Hat, sunscreen, rain gear and binoculars. (If you don’t have binoculars, Leica Store Miami will be providing optics on a first-come, first-served basis.)

  • BONUS: Join the Phoebes afterwards for a Picnic in the Park outside Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens (4000 Morikami Park Rd, Delray Beach, FL 33446). Bring your favorite picnic bites to share!
